Experimental LaMancha
Light brown/cream with white belt, gopher ears

Idgie was added to the farm when we decided to add a few standard sized dairy goats to the herd. We decided on LaManchas for their hardiness and easy going temperament. Idgie has not disappointed! She also has a very fun loving, curious and friendly demeanor which we love greatly. If you follow our farm page, you’re likely to hear many stories of Idgie’s playfulness! We will breed her to our Nigerian Dwarf bucks for “Mini Manchas” with hopes of the ultimate homestead milker. A hardy goat of good size with great milking capabilities but the butterfat of a Nigerian Dwarf.
Idgie freshened for the first time in 2022. Her FF udder was absolutely gorgeous, capacious with a strong medial, and easy to milk, correct teats. She has matured to be a lovely doe. She is long and deep bodied, with a strong topline and nice spring of ribs. She moves elegantly and is a joy to admire. I have high hopes for this girl and am excited to see what she will have to offer us!
We have loved the low maintenance of these does and look forward to the future with LaManchas on the farm.
