Welcome to Shady Oak Farm! Located in Northern Iowa, Shady Oak Farm is home to Nigerian Dwarf Dairy goats, draft horses, chickens and a variety of other farm animals. Nestled in a grove of oak trees surrounded by natural Iowa plains, you will also see a wide variety of wildlife while visiting the farm. Whether it’s turkeys scatted on the driveway, white tail jumping the fences, or coyotes howling in the night, Shady Oak Farm hosts habitat for many critters. The history of the farm ranges from the old dairy barn that sits along the driveway to an 1800’s cabin that is now a bedroom of the home. From milking goats and making soaps and cheeses with the milk, to driving draft horses, gardening, and providing stewardship of the land, there is always something to do at Shady Oak Farm!
